It feels like Christmas

This has been the week for packages. Look what came today:

sp9-3

This is from my SP9 pal, and I gotta tell ya, she’s simply brilliant.  Forgive the bad lighting (which won’t get any better until Spring), and the ugly cushions, but you simply have to see this.  Clockwise, there’s a Clover counter I’ve had on my list of notions, Crystal Palace 6mm bamboo DPNs, a hank of Seven Sammies merino-samoyed yarn (do you know how many Shepherd owners out there have thought of this every time their GSDs go into their semi-annual shed?), a wee and very clever card with flower seeds embedded in the card (have you ever heard of planting a card???  And it actually growing??  How cool is that??), some lovely wooden stitchmarkers that weigh absolutely nothing, chocolate (yes, it’s still here, but not for long), M&Ms (which I’m addicted to and cannot get here) and finally . . . 2 balls of Zephyr.  One shawl.  One shawl in a yarn I’ve been staring at for months, and in a color I’d already decided to order.

The entire bundle was packaged in colored paper (sorry, no photos), clever ribbons, and made me feel remarkably like Alice in Wonderland with little notes to “open me” and “plant me.”  I have no idea who this gal is, but she’s done such a wonderful job that I can’t really say how tickled I’ve been with the thoughtfulness and accuracy of each package.

Oh, you’ll love that Jade Zephyr. That’s the color I used for my Oregon shawl!
