I just got a note from Sue, my lace swap pal, telling me that she received her package! Woooohooooo! I’m laughing, though, because I’d thought I was so very clever and timed things in such a way that she’d receive the main package from me after she received the first two small packages from vendors. NOT! But doggone it, who would have expected a package from Norway to the UK to take less than 48 hours, doorstep to doorstep?? The downside is that she now knows what that second small package is, but the plus is that it should arrive in tomorrow’s mail.
Sue posted a photo on her blog, and I got to see what ends Bill used on the cocobola needles!
I’ve had so much fun doing this, in part because it gave me a good excuse to go back to outstanding vendors like Bill at Turn of the Century and Karen at Beadmarkers. I mean, while I have a secret yen to own one of everything they offer, the reality is that there’s only so much I can use. (Somehow, I suspect that won’t stop me from gathering a few extra stitch markers from Karen and a gorgeous pair of cocobola needles from Bill along the way, though.) I can, however, spread the word by letting someone else see how excellent they are.
I think I need to join another swap in a couple of months.
