With Seraphim finished, and considering my vow to clear up the last of my UFOs, I’ve picked this up again:

It’s been bundled up in the basket for the past year while other things took priority. There are about 2 inches left to knit at the top, then the sleeves. Colors are indistinct here, but are grey, off white, and a dark green, blue, and red. The yarn is Smart superwash wool, and the pattern comes from the Sandnes Til Fjells 9712 book.
I originally bought the yarn for a grey and white turtleneck sweater which had lovely cables on the neck, wrists, and waistband, but then realized that it was an incredibly stupid thing to do since I can’t wear normal sheep’s wool against my skin. I could knit that turtleneck, but I’d never be able to wear it. Change of patterns, reverse the color scheme from dark to light, add the secondary colors, and there’s a new sweater in the works. Unfortunately, I forgot to calculate for the change in recommended yarns; Smart is a bit finer than the yarn the pattern asks for, which makes for a smaller sweater (and not enough yarn to increase the size), and means that I’m still knitting something I won’t be able to wear. Clever, eh?
Ah, well. Either someone will get it for a gift, or I’ll sell it for the price of the yarn.
