Remember this?
It now looks like this:
A difference, ya reckon? It’s nearly done. There’s trim work to be finished, panel which needs to go on the opposite end wall to the left, cables to be settled, and a small track light arrangement put in behind that front top edge if I can figure out how to do it neatly. But it’s insulated, so the room should now only have a draft from the exterior wall to the right, which means it’ll be warmer. There was a bit of cleanup which was done yesterday, and I need to pick up a small book shelf and an extra plastic storage box or two tomorrow, and then I’m moving stuff over and in. Very very cool. Two feet may not sound like much, but when it’s a quarter of the existing width of the room, it’s a lot.
DH finished this much at about 1pm on Saturday. At 4, I put him on a flight to Crete. See, do good things for your honey and you get a reward: you get to go sit in the sun for a week.
Am I jealous? Absolutely. But I can’t leave work, he has the week off, he shot himself in the foot (figuratively speaking) painting the house so that he hasn’t had a diddly of a break this year, and he *did* nearly finish the remodel, which means that the dude deserves it. The remaining bits and pieces can be done on a weekend when he gets back.
Me? By 6pm, I’d already stocked up on “I’m not cooking” food for the week and covered the living room with this . . .

Oooooooo, it looks wonderful! Have a fun week. I always made the most of a week with the hubby, too. Enjoy!
That’s a nice pile of fun!
The girls and I are going to be home alone for some weeks, and we are going to stick to a fiber rich diet too.
