I haven’t had the chance to get a whole lot of knitting done in the past six months, but I have finished a couple of things.

I have enough of the alpaca to make another pair of gauntlets (I think) in reverse colors, and plan to keep that pair.
I also managed two other pairs of gauntlets for my niece and sis-in-law in basically the same pattern as the brown cable but with a wool blend. I happened to be in Joann’s with a friend, killing time while we waited for an appointment, and stumbled over the Sensations Angel Hair Yarn.

It’s a wool-nylon-acrylic fuzzy plush yarn and handles nicely. But folks, I simply have to tell you that I’ve never met a yarn that’s this soft . . . It would never do for anything which needs to be sturdy, but it’s one of those yarns that simply make you melt when you handle it. I think I have enough left over for a hat and short scarf, and those are definitely going to be keepers rather than give-aways.
In the UFO pile, I have another pair of gauntlets in green cotton for a friend who’s allergic to wool, a Kiri scarf, the alpaca gauntlets, the second thrummed mitten to a set, and a Norwegian sweater. I also have more time, so let’s see which of those I finish first.
Consider yourself updated.

I have stopped to pet that same yarn in the store many times myself. It is shockingly soft!
