I’m back in a busy period for the next 2 weeks, so don’t panic if you don’t see much new here. In the meantime, I’ve managed a little progress with an hour here and an hour or two there and have finished carding all this:
That is about 4 pounds of a 50% merino/50% Tussah blend from Leah. The ruler on the side is about 19″ and is helping support that corner of the bag.
In other words, the evenings I can spend spinning over the next couple of weeks are going to be dedicated to this grey . . . which is destined for DH’s Cobblestone Pullover.
And nope—I won’t have it done in time for Christmas. With a bit of luck, though, he can have it for *my* birthday!

Holy Cats! Well they say slow and steady wins the race. I love that steel gray and imagine it’s going to be very handsome spun and knit up.
Wooo Hooo!!! Way to go! Now for the fun part!
(And don’t forget to do a little “candy” spinning on the side. What else are spindles for?)
BTW, I love the Cobblestone pattern…It is going to look great.
wheeeeeee!
I saw that picture and thought for a moment you’d knitted black roses…
Wow, that must have been a lot of carding!
I hope you have finished your busy period now and have started spinning.
What a bag full of gorgeous balls! That’s going to make a seriously manly cobblestone. BTW, I’m jealous about the pattern. I’ve been dreaming of making one for Ed since the moment I saw it on Jared’s blog a couple months ago. Alas I was too slow, all copies had been snatched up at the LYS, desperate I broke down and subscribed to Interweave Knits only to discover they too had sold all copies.
Hope your busy period has slowed down. (Ya, right with Christmas in two days!)
