We opted for a much flatter route today (read that as “made Rhonna a happy camper”), and didn’t go outrageously far since the weather bode rain. We were lucky; we only had a few sprinkles while we were out and it didn’t pour until later in the day.
The recent rainy period, however, has really turned things green and while the trees are still budding out, the hvitveis (or wood anemone) has created a lovely woodsy carpet to soften the shadowy birch.

Very restful picture.
Helps put me in the mode for bed. I shall go to sleep wandering through those trees & flowers.
